By: HECTOR WILD CHILD (hbss30@hotmail.com) This is my people. On Monday the country and some regions of the world is dressed in yellow to demand, respectfully, that they comply with the Law 66-97, which sets the budget allocation of 4% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to the Ministry of Education.
But let's not false hope, the Finance Minister, Vicente Bengoa has proposed an amendment to the Education Act on the grounds that the percentage allocated to the education sector is an impossibility.
Admit it gentlemen, the government has no money and worse still no political will to move in that direction, at least in the medium and long term. So
is that, dear compatriots, the 4% Education is fantasy and fiction. Utopia.
