En un lucido acto which had a large attendance, the Dominican Union of Radio Amateurs, Inc. Udra. Assembly held its election to choose the policy that will lead the destiny of the organization for the period 2011-2012. After the first and second call was proceeded to the election, the counting of them gave the following result, Fausto Alvarado HI8FLB turned president again accompanied by Sergio de la Rosa HI8SAR for Secretary. The vice presidency went to Miguel Caro HI7MC who is also the President of the Branch in La Romana, the Treasury will be under the responsibility of Mr. Alberto Puig KP4AP/hi8. Those are the main directors of UD for the period stated above.
The Electoral Commission was made by distinguished colleagues amateur radio and the same was chaired by Mr Hugo HI8HS Sone, accompanied by Mr. Juan Salas HI8JSG secretary of the committee, assisted by Manuel Duarte HI8MDL vocal.
The newly formed policy this afternoon will take office from January 22 next 2011 at a ceremony to prepare for the outgoing board.
The event was used for delivery of certificates and awards for participation in the recent past and IRLP VHF contest organized by the FEDERATION OF PUERTO RICO AMATEUR RADIO which included vast participation of stations in the Dominican Republic.
